“EVERYTHING THAT WE DO, WE DO IT FOR A REASON”
Hernán once told me that he believes that everyone has a reason for everything they do. I believe it all started with a thin line and a small dot. Watching the world around him from a distant window of his room. What if we could connect all of the decisions, paths and choices that make up who we are today; all the what ifs, the good, the bad, the ugly and translating them into something different, something less tangible.
From something small and minimal, he began to develop his own personal universe. Once explaining that connecting dots is his own metaphor, a way of pin-pointing experiences; the highs and hardships that everyone goes through.
This is how he sees the world - if you look closely, once all dots are joint together, you can see something meaningful, reality represented in its simplest form.
An interior architect by trade and endorsed by the IADE in Madrid, Clot has more than 9 years of experience in interior design focussing mainly on hospitality. Working in Madrid, Dubai and London whilst collaborating with companies such as the Rockwell group, LW Design and Blacksheep.
He divides his time between work and art using London as a base. His standard day begins at 6am with a bike ride through Regents Park, the best time for a ride. London’s vibrant art scene provides him with the opportunity to explore new techniques and deepen his craft, attending several courses at Central Saint Martins School, dreaming up spaces for his first exhibition. When he’s not painting, you’ll find Hernán in a gallery in the city or getting lost on two wheels.
